Red River Dance Hall is located in Dallas, Texas. It is a local spot best known for its circular dance floor with several bars located around the room. Many individuals come here to texas two-step or people watch for birthdays, date nights, concerts, dancing, and meeting new people. There are many different dance halls located in and around the DFW area, however, this is personally my favorite.
If you comment on their Facebook posts, you can get in for free and you don't need to pay a cover (the only good thing to come out of my relationship with my ex). But the cover isn't all that bad either, maybe $10 to get in, which isn't a bad deal. They have TONS of parking and the line is very quick to get through. You walk in and immediately, there is a bar in front of you. There are several bars around the interior to help ease the long lines. There's a stage for live performance and tables to sit/reserve next to the dance floor and close enough to another hangout section like the mechanical bull or the pool tables.
The music is LOUD so be prepared but it's really fun. They play a wide variety of country music and at about 930 and 1130, they have a few minutes of line dancing and pop music to ensure everyone feels included. They also have this bar top that many people dance on as well. On Thursday, it's ladies' night and at midnight they drop balloons that are filled with cool incentives like “free drink” and “Bar tab covered under $20” and things like that. They also offer some fun musical guests that you can go see (I saw Dustin Lynch at Red River for $15 and it was amazing)
If you like 2 steppings or want to try new things, I recommend this bar. Drinks are at a fair price, happy hour is good, they offer dancing lesions earlier in the night, fun songs and dances, fun people to hang out with and meet, and great dancing.
