Location: Denver, Colorado
What: Cafeteria style, upscale
Experience: 10/10
I was referred to The Junction by a great friend of mine. He stated that it was a cafeteria-style place to go with multiple options. Growing up in the early 2000 and being from Texas, I immediately thought of Golden Coral or Lewis. You know, the buffet-style options and unlimited food, with a bunch of tables that could seat thousands of grown-ups that never grew out of their grade school days emotionally. To say I was nervous about going was an understatement. It encapsulated everything that I hated, crowds, buffet-style options, loud noises, and kids.
But I was SO WRONG about this place.
I wouldn't call it a cafeteria-style place. I would call it an “upscale food court”. It had different options of types of food and a large bar area to get all sorts of different drinks. You ordered your food at the register or even better, your order online using your smartphone or iPad or tablet, or whatever. Then they message you when your order is ready and you just go pick it up. Not only is this so fun but it's an upscale chic.
It offers burgers, gyros, tacos, pizza, and pasta. It has a french dessert bar for all your chocolate needs and Fixin's. It has a great happy hour of specialty cocktails starting at $6 which I think is an incredible deal. It seems nice and spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating. It's perfect for a large group of friends heading out to hit the town. It honestly has everything that you could possibly need, because not only does it offer a wide variety of places to eat and drink, but it's also attached to an outlet mall. So after a fun shopping day, you can stop by The Junction to grab a bite to eat and a drink before calling it a day. Or if you're doing dinner and a movie, this is the perfect place to do both because there's a movie theatre across the street.
Honestly, I love this place. If I could live here, I would.
